You know you're an avid Bond fan - coming close to addict - when 007 influences parts of your life that perhaps it shouldn't.
Here's such an example:
My wife has been wanting us to get a second cat for a long time - and I have been reluctant to get one -but without telling her I had started to warm to the idea.
During the half-term week we took the children to the local RSPCA animal shelter and had a look at the cats.
Now at this point I wasn't planning on us getting a cat there and then. But then fate intervened.
As we were looking at the different cats there was a beautiful black cat with huge soulful green eyes. His name was Jimmy - as in James - and as he came up to me to let me stroke him what song started playing on the radio - but Licence To Kill by Gladys Knight.
Needless to say I saw this as a sign and pretty much fell in love with the little fella there and then.
Jimmy has been part of our family for a week now - he's settled in really well and the kids and us all love him. He's really lively and playful and tolerates the kids playing with him. And as for Suzie - our other cat - well she er..... tolerates him.
And the other thing we found out about Jimmy when we adopted him - he was neutered on my Birthday - which my wife found really amusing! Makes me wonder what I'll be getting from her for a Birthday present next year!
